Going to the West Fest

Who and what are PEMS?

Going to the West Fest is being organised by PEMS (Pembrokeshire Eclectic Music Society), a voluntary organisation for music in Pembrokeshire. PEMS was formed on 20th February 2008 with the aim of expanding people’s experience of traditional-based music and dance. The committee is made up of several enthusiasts of old-time and other kinds of music. They are: Mansel Kedward (chairman; mandolin, guitar), Jackie Kempton (secretary; fiddle), Jo Cooper (treasurer; fiddle, banjo), Peter Cooper (vice-chairman; concertina, guitar) and Pete Jenkins (banjo). Some members of the committee also perform with various bands, including the Grumpy Bush String Band.
